Nauru Airlines will add a third weekly service from Brisbane to Nauru during next month. Effective from Thursday, 13th June the additional service will depart Brisbane at 11pm and arrive into Nauru at 5:35 am each Friday. The returning flight will depart Nauru at 6:35 am on Fridays and arrive into Brisbane at 9:10 am.

"There has been a steady build up of traffic occurring for some months now as a result of the growing demands of the refugee processing centre" said Nauru Airlines CEO, Geoffrey Bowmaker.

"This trend is set to further increase as the second processing center site is developed and thus it is now timely to add this additional service to ensure that the growing demand for travel from all sectors to and from Nauru are adequately met"

The added service will also create new scope for Nauru Airlines to service the continually growing cargo requirements for Nauru.

Majuro, Marshall Islands

Nauru Airlines is pleased to announce the commencement of weekly services through Majuro, Republic of the Marshall Islands, with effect from Monday 10th December, 2012.

“We are thrilled to be providing regular flights to Majuro where many travellers will benefit through the significantly improved connections that will result between the northern, central and southern regions of the Pacific.” said CEO, Geoff Bowmaker, in announcing the flights today.

These services reflect a partnership approach between the Government of Nauru and the Government of the Marshall Islands and demonstrate the true spirit behind the concept of Nauru Airlines in servicing the travel needs of Nauru and its neighbouring states.

The Marshall Islands offer visitors a variety of different experiences including surfing, kite surfing, sports fishing and diving to name a few, all of which will now be considerably more accessible to visitors from southern and central pacific in particular.

These new services will also greatly enhance the travel requirements of participants to events conducted by the many regional organisations that are based throughout the pacific area.

“Catching up with families and friends, who are located across the different island states, will certainly be more affordable and more easily achievable, and is another important outcome resulting from the introduction of the new services” said Mr Bowmaker.
